Authors
Blog authors are configured in blog/authors.yml. Every author has a profile, an avatar, and optionally a dedicated page.

Adding an Author
Add a new entry to authors.yml:

The key (yourname) is what you reference in blog posts.
Using Authors in Blog Posts
Add authors to the frontmatter:

Multiple authors are supported. The blog post shows all of them.
Author Pages
If page: true, Docusaurus creates a page at:
/blog/authors/yourname
The page lists all posts by that author.
If page: false, the author appears on posts but has no dedicated page.
Author Avatar
Two options:
Option A — External URL:
image_url: https://avatars.githubusercontent.com/u/120108849?s=120&v=4
Option B — Local image:
image_url: /img/authors/yourname.jpg
Place local avatars in static/img/authors/.
Recommended size: 120×120px.
Social Links
The socials field accepts any key-value pair:

Nocturne ships with three authors:

You can edit, remove, or add to these.
Best Practices
- Use lowercase keys —
axcora, notAxcora - Square avatars — works best with the circular mask
- Short titles — 3–6 words
- Enable pages for main authors —
page: true - Disable pages for guest authors —
page: false
Troubleshooting
Author doesn't appear on a post
- Check the key in
authors.yml - Check the frontmatter — must match exactly
- Restart the dev server
Author page returns 404
Check that page: true in authors.yml.
Avatar doesn't load
- Check the URL — must be accessible
- For local images, check that the file exists in
static/img/authors/ - Check for typos in the path
Multiple authors — only one shows
Check the frontmatter — it must be a list:
